General Description
The HMC6000LP711E is a complete mmWave
transmitter IC and low profile antenna integrated
in a plastic 7x11 mm surface mount package. The
transmitter provides 23.5 dBm of EIRP operating over
57 - 64 GHz with 1.8 GHz of modulation bandwidth.
An integrated synthesizer provides tuning in 500
or 540 MHz step sizes depending on the choice of
external reference clock. Support for a wide variety
of modulation formats is provided through a universal
analog baseband IQ interface. Together with the
HMC6001LP711E, a complete transmit/receive
chipset is provided for multi-Gbps operation in the
unlicensed 60 GHz ISM band.

Evaluation Kit
The HMC6450 evaluation kit contains everything that is needed to set up a bi-directional 60 GHz millimeter-wave
link using standard RF cable interfaces for baseband input and output. Kit comes with two motherboard PCBs
that provide on board crystals, USB interface, supply regulators, and SMA cables for connectorized IQ interfaces.
Supplied software allows the user to read from and write to all chip level registers using a Graphical User Interface
(GUI) or upload previously saved register settings.
