1.3 Details on Individual Family
Members
Devices in the PIC18F2331/2431/4331/4431 family are
available in 28-pin (PIC18F2X31) and 40/44-pin
(PIC18F4X31) packages. The block diagram for the
two groups is shown in Figure 1-1.
The devices are differentiated from each other in three
ways:
1. Flash program memory (8 Kbytes
PIC18F2X31 devices, 16 Kbytes
PIC18F4X31).

2. A/D channels (5 for PIC18F2X31 devices, 9 for
PIC18F4X31 devices).
3. I/O ports (3 bidirectional ports on PIC18F2X31
devices, 5 bidirectional ports on PIC18F4X31
devices).
All other features for devices in this family are identical.
These are summarized in Table 1-1.
The pinouts for all devices are listed in Table 1-2 and
Table 1-3.
