Description
The TSL1401CL linear sensor array consists of a 128 × 1 array of photodiodes, associated charge amplifier
circuitry, and an internal pixel data-hold function that provides simultaneous-integration start and stop times for
all pixels. The array is made up of 128 pixels, each of which has a photo-sensitive area of 3,524.3 square
micrometers. There is 8-μm spacing between pixels. Operation is simplified by internal control logic that requires
only a serial-input (SI) signal and a clock.

B. Nominal photodiode array dimension. The array is made up of 124 inner pixels, 2 next-to-end pixels, and 2 end pixels. Pixel
#1 is closer to Pin 1. The inner pixels measure 63.5 μm (H) by 55.5 μm (W), the next-to-end pixels are 76.6 μm (H) by
46 μm (W), and the end pixels are 95.3 μm (H) by 37 μm (W). There is 8-μm spacing between all pixels. See Array Detail A.
C. Package top surface is molded with an electrically nonconductive clear plastic compound having an index of refraction of 1.56.
